The Special Edition 2017 #PinkBeetle was inspired by Volkswagen fans who were painting their beloved Beetles bright pink — and sharing on social with the hashtag #PinkBeetle. The colorful campaign, launched exclusively on Volkswagen US social channels, encourages all of us to “live a little brighter.”
The spot shows a growing rally — with each participant dressed head-to-toe in bright pink — spreading joy as they run through the streets of Washington, DC. Real bystanders’ reactions are captured as the celebration builds into a diverse collection of hundreds of revelers. Leading the way is the limited-edition #PinkBeetle.

Volkswagen called upon us to tell people about their impressive Certified-Pre-Owned value and connect WorldAuto more directly to the Volkswagen brand. We did it by introducing a unique “cast of characters”, all selling cars that you want to…avoid.
After you buy a Volkswagen, After Sales is there to help with services like Service Xpress, easy online booking and vehicle accessories. We produced four 0:30s social spots, staying true to the Volkswagen brand’s “wink and a smile”, each video highlighting a service any VW owner would appreciate.
The campaign earned more than 148,000,000 impressions from custom audiences that we created based on the preferences of real VW customers.
Volkswagen performance and engineering is first-in-class, with a solid and future-oriented place in motorsport that is cause for celebration. For the 2016 season, we took a ‘racing science’ approach, highlighting the impressive speed and performance of the Beetle GRC through key vehicle attributes, illustrated on top of pre-existing GRC footage.
