iStrategyLabs partnered with ASME to produce and manage the 2014 Innovation Show (IShow). The event provides students a platform to showcase their creative innovations in engineering talent and rewarded the top products with prizes totaling $50,000. Applications are open to student teams in the U.S. with products aimed at solving global problems.
The event itself brought students from around the country to Washington D.C. to pitch their products to a forum of judges, including:
- Evan Burfield, Cofounder, 1776
- Steve Davis, Director of Advanced Projects, Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX)
- Jen Consalvo (@noreaster) is COO and Co-founder of Tech Cocktail.
- Bill Flook, Staff Reporter, Washington Business Journal
MC, Julie Silard Kantor, Chief Partnership Officer of STEMconnector ® and Million Women Mentors participated along with our keynote speaker, Luke Schoenfelder, CEO and Co-Founder of Latch.
From driving student application signs up to partnering with Tech Cocktail for the event itself, the 2014 IShow was a pleasure to produce and we look forward to seeing what the winning teams do with their funding!
