Buying a used car can be, well…terrifying. There are many options and it can be hard to tell who where the car came from, its past, and if you’re getting your money’s worth. This is where Volkswagen WorldAuto comes in. Their Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicles go through a rigorous 112-point dealer inspection, come with a CarFax report, and a limited warranty.

Volkswagen called upon us to educate the public about the CPO value and bridge the gap between WorldAuto and Volkswagen name recognition. The challenge was to communicate this message in two fun 30-second spots. Enter our “Cast of Characters” — four people you wouldn’t want to buy from — playing out the viewer’s used-car fears before landing at a friendly WorldAuto dealership.

ISL filmed the two spots over the course of 5 1/2 days, in 4 locations with a crew of over 35 people. Check out some fun behind-the-scenes pictures of the cast & crew at work!
